About Luckett Crane Service

Luckett Crane Service is a family owned business serving the Northeast Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma area.

In 1963, Harold Luckett opened a welding and fab shop just outside of Commerce, Texas. At that time his customer base included area farmers as well as manufacturing plants in the region, such as a chemical manufacturing company in Commerce and an oil mill in Wolfe City, Texas. In 1968 he bought his first crane, a P & H, to assist in the welding and fab work that he was doing, and in 1972 he bought another, a Wayne. His wife Patricia managed the office and dispatched the cranes.

In the years to come his business grew to include more crane work and less welding and fabrication, eventually phasing that side of the company out altogether. His son Bryan became involved at an early age in the 1970s and has been in the business ever since.

Now Luckett Crane Service owns a fleet of cranes and works all over the Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma from yards in Commerce, Paris, and Sherman. In 2013 Luckett Crane Service bought their largest crane to date, a 350 ton Grove GMK 6350 and in 2014 they bought their latest crane, a 115 ton Grove GMK 4115.

Harold and his son Bryan still manage day to day operations at Luckett Crane Service and, with the recent addition of Bryan’s son Brandon to the team, Luckett Crane Service is now a family owned and operated company spanning three generations.
